Perhaps you’re doing some work on a word processor, or you’re so far away from a WiFi point that you’re not able to get on the Internet at all! If you find yourself not using your WiFi connection, it’s a good idea to turn your adapter off to save battery.
If you’re on the move with a laptop, you may not need to use the Internet.
